30-day plan
Week 1
Launch the lead magnet
  • Confirm the checklist landing page is live and PDF downloads work on mobile.
  • Add the landing link to email signature, LinkedIn profile, and BC compliance page CTA.
  • Set up a simple tracker (spreadsheet): company, city, fleet size, source, status, next follow-up.
  • Draft 3-email sequence in Brevo/Mailchimp (free tier) for warm replies only — not cold blasts.
Week 2
Build the target list
  • List 100 BC carriers: Google Maps + “trucking / logistics / courier” in Vancouver, Surrey, Abbotsford, Kelowna, Prince George.
  • Capture company name, city, estimated fleet size, and published email (website contact / safety / operations).
  • Tag prospects: owner-operator (1–5), small fleet (6–20), growing carrier (21–50).
  • Prioritize units over 11,793 kg GVW and port / Hwy 1 / Hwy 5 lanes.
Week 3
Micro outbound + LinkedIn
  • Send 25 personalized emails/week — soft CTA to the checklist, not a hard pitch.
  • 5 LinkedIn connection requests/day to fleet managers and safety leads in B.C.
  • Log every touch in your tracker; stop after 3 emails with no reply.
  • Reply to checklist downloads within 24h with one question: “Which units are over 11,793 kg?”
Week 4
Partners + review
  • Contact one insurance broker or BCTA-style association about co-branded checklist mention.
  • Review metrics: downloads, reply rate, meetings booked, cost per lead.
  • Double down on the channel that produced replies (email vs LinkedIn vs partner).
  • Plan month 2: case study quote or ROI calculator follow-up for warm leads.

Hi [First name],

B.C. fleets your size are working through Bill M-217 — outward cameras on heavy trucks, phased rollout, and insurer-ready exports.

We put together a 1-page self-assessment checklist (GVW threshold, specs, rollout order, common mistakes).

Hi [First name],

Quick follow-up — the checklist covers:
• Which units are in scope (11,793 kg+ GVW)
• Outward-only vs in-cab (driver privacy)
• 1080p, night vision, 72h retention
• Phased install order for port and highway lanes

Last note from me on this — if timing isn't right, no problem.

Subject: Co-branded B.C. dashcam checklist for your clients?

Hi [Partner name],

We built a 1-page B.C. fleet dashcam compliance checklist (Bill M-217) for SMB carriers — outward-only, GVW threshold, phased rollout.

Would you be open to sharing it with commercial auto clients in B.C.? We handle installs and Wialon platform support; you stay the trusted advisor.

CASL quick checklist

CASL (Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation) applies to commercial emails that promote fleet services. You need consent or a valid exception before sending — then every message must identify you and offer unsubscribe.

Before you send

Message promotes Clarivant / fleet telematics → CASL applies.

You have express consent (checklist download + opt-in checkbox) OR implied consent (email published for that business role and message is relevant to their job).

Cold email uses only published business addresses (e.g. dispatch@, safety@, info@) — not personal Gmail/Yahoo.

Do not use purchased, scraped, or shared email lists.

Every commercial email must include

Sender name and company (who is emailing).

Contact info — email, phone, or mailing address.

Unsubscribe that works for at least 60 days (Brevo/Mailchimp add this on warm sequences).

Honest subject line — no deceptive “Re:” or fake urgency.

This campaign — do

Checklist downloaders → warm list in Brevo/Mailchimp; run the 3-email nurture only there.

Cold outreach → manual Gmail, ~25/week, compliance-focused, link to checklist landing page.

Keep content relevant to B.C. dashcam compliance — not generic product spam.

Stop after 3 touches with no reply.

Log consent source in your tracker (download, reply, partner intro, published email).

This campaign — avoid

Mass automated cold blasts from Mailchimp/Brevo.

Emailing anyone who opted out or unsubscribed.

Re-adding deleted contacts without fresh consent.
